If you were like me and looking for work when the pandemic hit or was let go from your job, you may have thought is it the right time to be looking. I did and used the following 3 strategies when I was looking for work and successfully secured a position during the pandemic. 

First strategy I decided to work with a career coach to focus on my achievements and successes.  I then highlighted them on my resume. If you don’t want to work with a career coach, get someone you know to give you feedback on your resume. 

Second strategy, I focused on networking over applying for so many jobs. I set up information interviews with people who are working in the jobs I was interested in. This is a great way to build your network as they may let you know when they hear of future positions coming up.

Third strategy, I was consistent with the same message that I used in my resume, LinkedIn profile when talking to people and in interviews.
